On 3rd June 1995 the current owners fell in love with this 27 hectare abandoned farm, with near-ruined buildings in spite of the exceptional surroundings. In 1996 they set up the Thélème Project association, presided and led by its founder, Gérard Brision. The Eco-estate was restored between 1996 and 2000 and now has a triple aim: reception of all members of the public, civic education, and conservation of our heritage. We aim to protect and to promote the countryside, biodiversity and traditional crafts. Gérard Brision is a militant environmentalist of the late sixties, a writer and libertarian philosopher. He is proud of his rural background which he places at the service of people of all orientations, ethnicities, cultures and religions, provided that, like Gandhi, they show solidarity and are non-violent, responsible and joyful.
